About
Built by students, for students.
Transcend is UW–Madison's student-run entrepreneurship organization. We give student builders a stage, a deadline, and a community.
Our mission
Help UW–Madison students build things that change the world.
We bring together students who want to start something — engineers, designers, scientists, business majors — and give them the people, tools and deadlines to actually do it.
Behind every event is a network of alumni, founders and Madison-area professionals who show up to give talks, run workshops, judge pitches and answer the questions a curriculum doesn't cover. Mixing majors is the point: the strongest teams we see are rarely made of one discipline.
How we get there
Inspire
Make starting something feel normal on campus, not like a side quest for a few business majors.
Equip
Put real tools, mentors and networks in students' hands, beyond what a class can offer.
Launch
Turn ideas into ventures that keep going after the pitch is over.
Meet the team
Not shadowing. Owning.
Every part of Transcend is run by students — sponsorships, finances, events, marketing, outreach and the competition itself. The best way to learn to build something is to run something.
